Here’s a little screen recording of my illustration process. Here I work with my hand painted and hand drawn lettering, adjusting the colours and shadows Photoshop. The video is speeded up but trust me, it takes some time to make the design decisions! Often I decide on a colour for the type and then tweak it to stand out against the painted backdrop, before changing my mind and settling on a completely different colour!
As a perfectionist, I have to be 100% happy with my work before it goes over to the client, and this can take me hours and hours, but I love the process. I love working in Photoshop and seeing my art come to life.
